Fr. Hugh Thwaites continues his study of “Pascendi Gregis.” In this second of the three part series Father Thwaites studies the encyclicals in which Pope St. Pius X addressed the pathology of Modernism. In this part of his lecture Father specifically touches on St. Pope Pius X’s point that the lies of modernism bear great toxicity to understanding our faith. The pope demonstrates not only a concern for the doctrinal error of this heresy, but offers, as well, a thorough understanding of the tactics of its proponents.
