This second part concentrates on the life of Bernadette herself. It touches on her childhood, the difficulties and opposition she encountered both during and after the apparitions and her steadfastness and obvious sincerity which did so much to win people to Our Lady’s cause. This part concludes with her final years as a nun. Pope Pius Xl summed up her life this way: “She was Faithful to her mission, Humble in glory. and Valiant under trial.”
