Monsignor Ignacio Barreiro speaks on the greatest of Spanish thinkers, St. Isidore of Seville and the glory of the Christian Visigoths. The influence of Visigothic Spain in Ireland, Britain and Gaul was enormous and central to an understanding of how the West could break with submission to the emperors in Constantinople. Hispano-Romans had a great appreciation for Classical Culture, both secular and Christian. The greatest of the Spanish thinkers, St. Isidore of Seville, is symbolic of the glory of Christian Visigothic life as a whole, and is the topic of this talk by Father Ignacio Barreiro.
